about
Kellen Saip wrote this song about his own personal struggles and he quickly realized he wasn't the only one affected by this pandemic.
"As hard as this has been to be isolated and not know when I will be able perform again, I came to realize how important community, friends and family really are in the whole big picture, not just my personal life."
It was actually a complete coincidence that "We are all in this together" became the phrase of the pandemic. That's a happy little accident. He decided to reach out to some of his most influential artists in Canada that have affected his life in some way and asked if they wanted to create an anthem; a light at the end of the tunnel.
He has partnered with Music Heals Canada to donate 100% of the earnings from this song to help them do the amazing work that they are doing.
So I guess I’ll give up smoking
cause i got no place to go
and my back porch is now vacant
lesser friends than I had before
yeah you know that i’ve been thinking
gonna cut down on my drinking
if its time to meet the man in the sky
well i don’t need no substance
to get me high cause I
I guess i’ll go out walking
take some time to clear my head
and reflect on all my choices
wipe my tears and smile instead
Cause we’re all in this together
we’ve been through harsher weather
ohhh braving the storm
is worth all the harm
just to see, the sun rise again
Its a different kinda lonely
still got my wife and family
but i lost my faith
well its all gone away
and i don’t know if tomorrow will be same
cause we’re all in this together
we’ve been through harsher weather
ohhh braving the storm
is worth all the harm
just to see, the sun rise again
